2019 WINNER JACK TOREDO WITH ETU APPRENTICESHIPS OFFICER MARK BURGE
The ETU's Apprentice of the Year competition rewards one outstanding applicant with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to undertake a fully funded trip abroad, attending a Global Power Trade Union Congress overseas and spending a week as the guest of a partner trade union in the host country.
It's a prestigious award which recognises the excellence and achievement of our apprentice members, as well as equipping the winner with knowledge and experience to help them excel as a leader in their workplace and trade.
While the COVID-19 crisis may have put a pause on this year's Global Power Congress, it hasn't stopped the outstanding work of our apprentice members—if anything, it's made that work more essential than ever. As such, we're opening applications for Apprentice of the Year 2020, and will move forward with selecting a shortlist and eventual winner.
This year's Apprentice of the Year will be rewarded with the opportunity to attend the next Global Power Trade Union Congress once the world gets back to normality.
